So clean you can eat off of it!

I'd just like to share an interesting experience I had about .5 seconds ago. Mom bought these white washcloths that she uses in the kitchen. Anyway, she was washing dishes after dinner and I was standing nearby when she splattered all over the floor. She promptly took the washcloth she was using to clean the dishes and bent over and scrubbed the floor then continued to wash the dishes...with the same rag. If any of you were wondering how we have such incredible immunes systems, it's probably because we've been fighting raw chicken diseases our entire life from mom's crazy "anything goes" kitchen.

Rebekah "Pure, Unadulterated Talent) Field

Thanks to a recent find by my friend Michael Koester, it has been discovered that I, Rebekah Artistic-Ability Field, had a drawing in The Friend. And for all these years we thought that Matt was the only one talented enough to get into The Friend. Yes, a life long dream which I feared would never become a reality did indeed come true. It was in the May 2001 issue, and somehow I never noticed it. It's bizarre, because I'm pretty sure I looked at those drawings in every issue, but I managed to miss it the one time I got a picture in. I sent so many of those dumb drawings in that I probably forgot was it looked like. In fact, I still can't remember drawing that specific picture, but I must have because The Friend never lies. Never fear, because thanks to the pdf versions of The Friend available at the church's website, I was able to still have the fantastic moment of finding my picture in The Friend. Regardless of the fact that I saw it in my senior year of high school, this is right up there in the most exciting moments of my life along with getting accepted to BYU and watching Win A Date With Tad Hamilton for the first time. Here it is in all its glory, the masterpiece that graced the May 2001 Friend with its presence.

Teenaged dreams can come true!

Here in the Field household we've been taking a little walk down memory lane with the help of Youtube. We've been watching a lot of videos of mom's favorite bands from the good ol' 1970's including The Carpenter's, Bread, James Taylor, etc. I've been noticing how incredibly good looking all of these men are that mom swooned over as a lovesick teenage girl. Check these puppies out:

Those are some good lookers! And I thought Josh Duhamel, Ben Affleck, and Matthew Fox were good looking! And now for the final test. Here is what mom managed to catch at BYU.
I think she did pretty well in fulfilling her dreams!!!! Oh the 70's, weren't they grand! I hope to be so fortunate in my eventual searches for a husband.

Well, I have several very important points of business to share with you today.

1. Abby's birthday!!! My little baby niece is one now! Wow, what a great year with you Abs! Keep 'em coming, and don't start developing an attitude. As a wise man once said, Ain't nothin' worse than a teenage attitude! I'm sorry that this is one day late, but something tells me that you're not going to mind :) Anyway, here are some of my favorite pics of me and Abby from her first year of life!! Probably mostly pictures of Abby. I think I should add some sentimental music too, but I don't feel like it so you'll just have to humor me and imagine it.

2. Christmas!!!!! Christmas in Utah was great. Family time, shopping, watching movies for the first time since August, snowmobiling, it was fun. Here are some pictures from it. 3. Well, I saw my costume for the musical yesterday! It's.....a sight to behold. For some reason everyone gets some sort of toga except for me and my twin. We get belly dancer costumes. Yep, that's right. They're pink and sheer-y with these nasty parachute-esque pants and a shrug on top with huge bell sleeves. I think you could place it in the less-than-modest category. But luckily the bishop's daughter is in the musical too, so after the performance I can scurry down to the audience and repent. Nah, I bet it's not so bad in real life, and we'll be wearing tan leotards underneath, so it'll be fine. Not the prettiest costume ever though.

Ok, one last thing. I made this really cute christmas card on photoshop and then we couldn't get it to print out so we had to improvise and use one of those photo cards, which I'm sure you all got. It was hard to fit all of the photos in, but it worked out in the end. Anyway, here's the original card, and if I may say so myself, I think it's pretty cute :)
