I don't really follow celebrity stuff but I just happened to stumble across this little bit of info and decided to give it a post. Gwen Stefani and her....husband? boyfriend? who know, had a baby boy the other day. They lovingly named it "Zuma Nesta Rock". That's right. And that's not even including his last name of Rossdale. I have a feeling that this kid is going to be majorly messed up. I read in this news article that "Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale 'have proven decisively that they're masters in choosing names that are both highly unusual and carry a lot of personal meaning'".
I think I should carry out their tradition and start picking some names for my future kids that are "both highly unusual and carry a lot of personal meaning". Hmmm...let's see....my favorite teacher was, of course, the INCREDIBLE Karen Ferris-Fearnside, so the first of the first names could be Fearn....yeah that's good. And for the second name maybe E, becuase that's where i first read about Zuma. But that's too normal, we'll have to spell it weird. Ieei should work. The I's are silent. I'm running out of steam here so I'll add a random name from a country I know nothing about. Ghanna should suffice. And now to top it off a completely normal word used entirely out of context, something to do with nature would be best. Oh, Cacti! Perfect! Fearn Ieei Ghanna Cacti. It's BEAUTIFUL. I think I know how stars do it now! And mom, get excited to have a grandchild named Fearn in, oh say, about 7 years!

Boredom overcomes me...
Bleeehhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I don't even know what to write. I'm so bored. Sitting at home looses its appeal somewhat when you do it everyday. Don't get me wrong, I love summer, it wins over going to school everyday, but this summer is particularly...unique. If this were summer back in NY my days would probably go a little something like this:
9:00-Wake up
9:00-9:30-Be goofy and annoying at mom
9:30-10:00-Eat breakfast while either watching TV or reading Archie
10:00-12:00-Read/watch TV/hang around on internet, perhaps talk to Rachel online
12:00-12:30-Eat lunch
12:30-3ish-Swim
3:00-5ish-Lay outside, dry off, read
5:00-6:00-Eat dinner
6:00-10:00-Whatever.
Anyway, I think you guys got the gist. But in our neighborhood here the going outside is a little out of the picture. When you're laying in your backyard here you're also laying in about 3 others yards at the same time. Theres also a constant stream of kids, construction workers, and mexicans riding giant lawnmowers going by. So not exactly the same about of privacy as 14 acres. That constricts my summer day options to watching tv, reading, and surfing the internet inside. I can't find any good books to read, and the internet is shockingly boring. As you can see, the sitting at home gets a little dull. However, painting gets old even faster than sitting at home. So anyway, this was a really long way of saying "I'm bored". I really don't have anything to say. I'm bored.
I'm getting my schedule figured out. It's quite the schedule. I've got ballet everyday at I think 9-10:30, then American Heritage MWF 11:11:50, then Modern everyday 12-1, then English 150 from I think 2-3 on MWF and BOM same time TTH and World Dance TH night at like 5. It's like my whole day is going back and forth from the Richard's building. It'll be a workout.
Ok, I have officially nothing else to say. But I made a post about my life, which I haven't done for a while. It was due. Too bad nothing interesting is going on. Oh yeah, one last thing, Freshman orientation is the 27-31. I can move in on the 27th but orientation doesn't really start until friday. School starts Sept. 2. Ok, that's it. Good night!
Deja Vu
A while ago, maybe in February or so, I made a post about this INCREDIBLE music video. The song is 1-2-3-4 by Feist and it's fairly awesome. Feist was on Sesame Street a while ago and sang a slightly different version of the song. I thought it was pretty cute. And by the way, if you haven't seen that music video, check it out pronto because it's the coolest thing ever.

Sorry folks, it's an awkward one.
There are so many wacky things on the internet. I like to make fun of them on my blog. Today, I found this lovely site called Lilypie that makes "baby tickers". They have an EXCELLENT selection. Some of the tickers include due date countdowns, countdowns to children's birthdays (mine is featured on the right!), and a countdown until you get your adopted child. They really have a "ticker" for every need, including this one below.
That's right. This one is called the "trying to conceive ticker". It's a great idea on how to let everyone know when you are going to be, ahem, ovulating, and will next be having, ahem, sex. Classy.
P.S. I put in random dates. Awkward.

Boredom on the B-day
I would like everyone to notice that fabulous date of the top of this post. More about today to come soon. And by soon, probably never, like all my other posts I promise :) I was bored and so I did the google game. Here are the results!
Rebekah needs to break out the work-out dates with Sven (True!)
Rebekah looks like a real wild child that has no inhibitions about life
Rebekah Does Cartwheels on Ice Skates (False.)
Rebekah hates early mornings (True. Seminary = death)
Rebekah goes through another separation
Rebekah has gone to sleep in Daddy's arms
Rebekah loves thinking about the temple (so I found this pretty ironic, it's from the friend. Who would've thunk?)
Rebekah eats nightcrawlers and spiders (only sometimes)
Now brace yourself for this one. It's what came up, ok?
Rebekah has always wanted to work in the porn industry and loves her job as an assistant for an amateur porn production company (false..p.s. you don't click on the sites that come up :) and anyway, this was from mtv)
Rebekah died in Canaan and was buried in the Cave of Machpelah (ironic that the bible one came right after the porn one...)
Rebekah will work to increase funding and improve the quality of our public (as always)
There. Boredom quenched. I hope you enjoyed it.
